BIO

Eliza O. Barrios, based in San Francisco, is an inter-disciplinary artist and founding member of MailOrder Brides/M.O.B. Her solo work is primarily new media and site-specific installation. Her collaborative work with Mail Order Brides/M.O.B. spans over a decade in various mediums including public art projects, karaoke videos and performative workshops. More recently she wasLead Artist for the YBCA In Community Program, an artist-led community-designed art making experience. Her work individually and collaboratively have been exhibited in museums and film/new media festivals internationally and domestically including: Museum of Contemporary Art (Oahu, Hawaii),International Turin Gay & Lesbian Film Festival (Turin, Italy),  Center for Contemporary Art (TelAviv Cinematheque, Israel), the New Forms Festival (Vancouver, Canada) and the San JoseMuseum of Art (San Jose, Museum). Barrios holds a Bachelor of Arts from San Francisco StateUniversity and a Masters of Fine Arts from Mills College.Barrios has received an Honorary Fellowship (Media Arts/New Genre) for the Djerassi ResidentArtists Program, as well as being awarded artist residencies at Banff Artist Residency (Canada),Fundación Valparaiso (Spain) and the Living Room (Philippines). Barrios received her Bachelor ofArts from San Francisco State University and Masters of Fine Arts from Mills College.
